Package-Details 

A320 Experience Advanced:

This is a package for home-cockpit-builders.

In the advanced version there are FSUIPC-offsets available to enable the system to be controlled by hardware.

A320 Experience Pro:

This is for professional and commercial use.

Positioning:

  • Free Positioning
    Set a position by entering lat/long, altitude, heading and speed
  • Approach Positioning
    Set a position by entering an airport, runway, speed and distance to touchdown. The Instructor station will set you absolutely exactly on the LOC/GS
  • Airwork
    Set a position by entering altitude, heading and speed. This sets you at your present position to the altitude you entered to train certain manoeuvres
  • Runway
    Set the aircraft on the entered runway

Environment:

  • Time/Date
    Setting of a specific date or time (local or UTC)
  • Weather
    Quickset buttons are available for CAT1, CAT2, CAT3a, CAT3b, CAT3c, Clear WX and Wind calm
    Parameters can also be adjusted individually (like setting the wind, visibililty, temperature and clouds) (currently under developmet)

Situations:

  • Load/Save
    Allows the user to load or save a situation with the possibility to enter a free-text description

Logging:

  • Logger
    When enabled it will plot you lateral flightpath on the map screen
  • Approach Plotter
    The Approach Plotter will plot you approach in two different views (top view, side view). It will automatically get the respective airport and runway from the FMGC, so you are able to plot the approach even if the pilot has not yet tuned the ILS or not yet activated the approach phase. You can also create a printout of this plot

Failures:

  • Selecting a Failure
    You can set a failure to "pending". This will arm the failure at specified conditions (e.g. speed greater as xxx kt, or altitude less than xxx ft, or in 200 seconds). You can also select a failure to be activated immediately.

Systems:

  • Fuel
    Here you will see an overview about the actual fuel status (current fuel in each tank and maximum in each tank) and you are able to do a quick refueling by enter the requested fuel for each tank
  • Pushback
    You can initiate a pushback with that function. Pushback will be only possible if the parking brake is released. If the parking brake is set during pushback it will stop immediately
  • Ground High-Pressure [GND HP]
    This will connect external HP Bleed Air to your aircraft so you can start the engines without the need of the APU
  • EXT PWR
    When the Instructor Station is connected to the system, the internal "EXT PWR-logic" in the OHL is disabled and żou can turn on and off the EXT PWR as required.

Map screen:

The map screen can be either automatically set on the aircraft position or the map center can also be set individually by click & drag on the map screen. You will see the aircraft on the radar screen with "after glows" and a 1'-vector showing the actual track and GS (exactly like on a real radar screen)

You can display all waypoints, VORs, NDBs with or without the labels showing the names, IDENTs, frequencies and so on.

You can also display shore lines and country borders if required.

General:

The whole system is designed to work with touchscreens (incl. a virtual keyboard) and is best to be used on two screens. Of course the everything can also be done with a mouse and keyboard. It is also possible (without any problems) to run the whole instructor station on one screen.
